Even though it is formally named \u201cThe Tisch Family Zoological Gardens in Jerusalem,\u201d most people still call it by its original name: the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo. It covers 62 acres in a lovely valley with green hills, a small lake fed by pools and waterfalls, spacious lawns and shady beauty spots. The zoo, built on two main levels that house most of the animal exhibits, is elegantly laid out and easy to navigate; \u00a0enclosures of the biblical animals are labeled with appropriate biblical quotes. A giant aquarium is under construction and set for a 2016 opening.
